20 Early-Stage Startups Set to Secure Funding Boost from Hyd’s Draper Startup Hub

What does it take to turn a simple idea into a successful company? More than ambition alone, startups need early funding, the right guidance, and a strong support system. At the early stage, capital is not just financial backing, it gives founders the confidence to build, test, and scale their ideas. With structured mentorship and access to investors, young ventures can grow faster and compete at a larger level. Hyderabad’s startup ecosystem is now set to receive that much-needed early push.

In a significant push to the city’s startup ecosystem, twenty early-stage startups are set to receive funding ranging from Rs 50 lakh to Rs 50 crore. The investment rollout comes as Draper Startup House Hyderabad transitions into Draper Startup Hub, formally entering structured early-stage investing and acceleration. The initiative is backed by the global Draper network founded by Silicon Valley venture capitalist Tim Draper.

The move marks a clear shift from its earlier co-working and co-living community model to a capital-backed accelerator platform. Announcing the transition at a gathering of founders and ecosystem leaders in Gachibowli, Co-Founders Chaitanya, Sai Krishna, and Deepika said the Hub will now actively identify, mentor, and invest in promising founders, strengthening Hyderabad’s early-stage capital pipeline.

Operating under the global Draper ecosystem, whose early bets include Tesla, Skype, Coinbase, Robinhood, Baidu and SpaceX, the Hub aims to channel global exposure and investor access to emerging ventures from Hyderabad.

The Hub also announced the second edition of its 12-Day Draper Founders Program, described as India’s first intensive residential accelerator under the Draper banner. Slated for April, the programme will select high-potential founders through a multi-layered screening process, offering immersive training, direct mentorship, and investor access to fast-track institutional readiness.

Speaking at the event, Ajit Rangnekar noted that while Bengaluru’s ecosystem evolved organically over decades, Hyderabad is now consciously building structured innovation infrastructure.

Meanwhile, Mentor and advisor Viiveck Verma added that the city stands at an inflection point, requiring disciplined early-stage risk capital and strong mentorship to build globally scalable companies.

With early-stage funding often cited as a bottleneck outside Bengaluru and NCR, Draper Startup Hub’s investment rollout signals growing confidence in Hyderabad’s startup pipeline. The transition positions the Hub as a key early-stage catalyst in India’s evolving innovation landscape.
