Hyd Gets India’s 1st Semiconductor Innovation Museum — Next-Gen Chips, AI & Tech All in One Place

The city just unlocked a major tech flex! India’s first-ever Semiconductor Innovation Museum — a flagship initiative by T-CHIP® (Technology Chip Innovation Program) — officially opened its doors on Sunday, putting Hyderabad on the global semiconductor map.

From intelligent humanoids and robotic companions to India’s first AI chip, reusable propulsion systems, and smart EV innovations, the museum feels like walking through the future of technology. It’s also more than just a tech exhibit — every month, a 30-day Innovation Residency Program will bring startups, researchers, and investors together to co-create and showcase new tech.

Inaugurating the museum, former Governor Bandaru Dattatreya appreciated the initiative as “a vital step in complementing India’s national semiconductor strategy,” while assuring full Central-level support for T-CHIP’s mission. He noted that the Centre’s significant investments in fabs, design infrastructure, and skill development align perfectly with T-CHIP’s vision.

Meanwhile, Sports Minister Vakiti Srihari reaffirmed Telangana’s backing, saying the government will continue to strengthen policy, infrastructure, and talent support for the semiconductor ecosystem. “This museum will inspire students, empower startups, and turn research into real-world applications,” he said.

Finally, T-CHIP Chairman Sundeep Kumar Makthala summed up the vision: “This is not just an exhibition — it’s a bridge between innovation and society. Telangana is the launchpad, but our goal is to build a global semiconductor ecosystem.”

The launch drew strong political and industry presence, with hundreds of visitors witnessing the next-gen tech showcase. Attendees included several MLAs, MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy, and former IT Minister Ponnala Lakshmaiah. Anubhula Tirupath Reddy, brother of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, also joined, highlighting the government’s solid backing for T-CHIP’s mission.
