AI-driven innovation and industry integration are powering Telangana’s next big leap. But what does the future really hold for business, technology, and research in the coming years? Could space travel one day be as easy to book as a flight ticket? GrowthX 2026 in Hyderabad brought these questions to the forefront, highlighting the possibilities and challenges that lie ahead in a rapidly evolving world.
Sharing his vision at the summit, Pawan Kumar Chandana, Co-founder of Skyroot Aerospace, predicted that space travel at executive-class airfares could become a reality within the next decade. He noted that Indian tourists might soon experience space flights at costs similar to airline travel and highlighted Telangana’s crucial role in India’s space technology ecosystem, making such futuristic travel increasingly accessible.
Inaugurating the summit, IT Minister D. Sridhar Babu described GrowthX as a platform for discovering the unknown, the “X” in GrowthX represents the next phase of transformation. He outlined Telangana’s ambitious trajectory: from a $200 billion economy to $1 trillion by 2034 and $3 trillion by 2047, backed by the state’s CURE–PURE–RARE framework driving urban innovation, industrial growth, and inclusive rural development. He emphasised that in an era of AI, shrinking innovation cycles, and global competition, ecosystem strength, talent quality, and collaboration will define the next decade of growth.
Meanwhile, Dr. D. Nageshwar Reddy, Chairman of AIG Hospitals, urged reforms in India’s laws to enable ethical research using human organs, noting how innovation in healthcare continues to face regulatory hurdles. N. Ramchander Rao, BJP State President, stressed responsible AI adoption as a transformative force for industries and society.
The summit also saw the launch of NeoVantageX, a journal bridging public policy, deep technology, sustainable finance, and global trade, offering research-driven insights for governments, multilateral institutions, and corporations.
Hosted by FTCCI, GrowthX 2026 strengthened Telangana’s vision of creating a connected ecosystem where startups, academia, industry, and policymakers collaboratively drive innovation-led growth. The summit brought together over 1,000 delegates, 100 exhibitors, startups, industry leaders, and policymakers.
Commenting on the event, FTCCI leaders and convenors highlighted the importance of partnerships and ecosystem building, noting that initiatives like GrowthX help turn dialogue into strategy and accelerate India’s journey toward a technology-driven future.
