Luxury travel is putting more focus on space, privacy and flexibility, particularly for young travellers, families and groups. Private villas give travellers the comfort of having their own space while still offering the services and facilities of a luxury resort.
For those travelling together, the experience can be as much about the stay as the destination itself. A private pool, larger living areas and outdoor spaces give guests more room to relax, spend time together and enjoy the surroundings at their own pace. This is where the villa format is finding a place in today’s luxury hospitality landscape.
That approach is reflected at Four Seasons Resort The Nam Hai in Hoi An, Vietnam, which has unveiled two newly renovated Signature Three-Bedroom Pool Villas. These are the first renovated villas in the resort’s Three-Bedroom Pool Villa collection, following the renovation of its One-Bedroom and Family Villas in December 2025.
The two villas are the Signature Ocean-View Three-Bedroom Pool Villa and the Signature Beachfront Three-Bedroom Pool Villa. The Ocean-View villa overlooks Ha My Beach and the East Sea, while the beachfront villa is set directly on the shoreline, offering direct beach access and uninterrupted ocean views.
Both villas feature refreshed interiors, open-plan living areas and upgraded outdoor spaces. The Ocean-View villa includes a large terrace, enhanced infinity pool and sunken lounge, while the Beachfront villa combines its pool and landscaped surroundings with direct access to the beach.
The renovation draws on Vietnamese heritage, particularly the traditional garden houses of Hue, while giving the villas a lighter contemporary coastal look. Led by HBA Singapore, the redesign uses natural finishes, softer furnishings and local materials alongside the villas’ existing dark timber elements.
The bedrooms feature a redesigned “sleep temple”, with raised canopy-style beds, soft drapery and pendant lighting inspired by Vietnam’s traditional Non La hat. Bathrooms now include garden access and outdoor rain showers.
The living areas feature bay windows and daybeds, while landscaped gardens and recessed seating provide additional spaces to relax. The layout allows guests to move easily between the villa interiors and outdoor areas.
Guests can also choose from private resort experiences such as floating breakfasts, yoga and meditation sessions, poolside cocktails, private barbecue dinners and personalised dining under the stars.
Signature Pool Villa guests receive additional services including round-trip airport transfers within Hoi An and Da Nang, personal attendant service, daily laundry of up to six pieces per day and in-villa refreshments.
“Throughout this journey, our intention has been to preserve the original character and spirit of the resort while refining the seaside experience for guests,” said Marcel Oostenbrink, General Manager, Four Seasons Resort The Nam Hai. He noted that the first two Signature Pool Villas offer an early look at the next stage of the resort’s design.
With the renovation, Four Seasons Resort The Nam Hai is giving its villa stays a fresh look while keeping the focus on Vietnamese design, privacy and the services of a luxury resort along Vietnam’s coast.
