Hyderabad is quickly transforming into a global hub for innovation, technology, and value creation. The city is seeing a surge of Global Capability Centres (GCCs), innovation hubs, and tech centers, attracting multinational companies across sectors like banking and financial services, life sciences, healthcare, aerospace, manufacturing, fintech, deep tech, and retail.
With a skilled workforce, modern digital infrastructure, and a supportive business environment, Hyderabad is not just growing; it is emerging as a serious rival to Bangalore as India’s leading destination for next-generation technology and industry innovation.
In a significant step forward, The Hartford India Technology Center at Nanakramguda Financial District was officially inaugurated by IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu. The state-of-the-art facility spans 1.5 lakh sq. ft. and has the capacity to employ nearly 1,200 professionals, highlighting Hyderabad’s growing appeal as a hub for global firms.
This center will function as a strategic engineering and technology hub, focusing on artificial intelligence, digital transformation and advanced technology development, collaborating closely with The Hartford’s global technology centers in Hartford, Chicago, Charlotte, and Columbus. With over 200 years of expertise, The Hartford brings deep knowledge in insurance, risk intelligence and digital engineering.
Speaking on Monday, IT Minister D. Sridhar Babu said the Telangana Government is focusing on developing industry-ready talent aligned with evolving business requirements and strengthening an innovation ecosystem that supports next-generation technologies.

Describing The Hartford’s decision to expand in Hyderabad as a positive development, Sridhar Babu said the center would contribute to the city’s growing role in the insurance sector driven by artificial intelligence, risk intelligence and digital engineering.
Noting that Hyderabad hosts over 400 GCCs, he added that several multinational firms, including Marriott, McDonald’s, UBS, DAZN, Vanguard, Eli Lilly, HCA Healthcare, and Citizens Bank, have established major operations in the city. “The State is implementing strategic initiatives to enable GCCs to evolve from back-end operations into Global Value Centres,” he said.
The Minister further highlighted that ease-of-doing-business reforms, policy stability and advanced digital infrastructure continue to attract global companies to Telangana.
