Artificial Intelligence has moved well beyond being a futuristic concept and is now steadily influencing the way India learns, works and governs. Its impact is visible across classrooms, research institutions, offices and public services, where AI is increasingly being used to improve efficiency and decision-making. Cities such as Hyderabad, with their strong technology and academic base, are playing a key role in this shift, as institutions, startups and workplaces adopt AI-driven solutions to tackle real-world challenges and support the country’s growth.
With rapid advances in technology, the PAN-IIT Hyderabad Summit 2026, the first-ever PAN-IIT conference to be hosted in the city, is set to emerge as a key national platform for driving AI-led transformation for Bharat. PAN-IIT Alumni India will support the India–AI Impact Summit 2026, a flagship global gathering to be hosted by the Government of India under the IndiaAI Mission in February 2026, PAN-IIT Chairman Prabhat Kumar announced on Monday, describing it as the world’s largest summit focused on artificial intelligence.
He said PAN-IIT will also power Bharat Innovates, an international innovation showcase to be held in Nice, France, aimed at highlighting India’s strengths in startups, deep-tech and technology leadership to European stakeholders.
The PAN-IIT Hyderabad Summit 2026 will be held on 8 March 2026 at The Westin Hyderabad Mindspace, with a half-day pre-conference at IIT Hyderabad on 7 March. More than 600 delegates are expected to participate, including policymakers, industry leaders, researchers, entrepreneurs and alumni from all 23 IITs.
The Summit will focus on how artificial intelligence and emerging technologies are reshaping key sectors such as healthcare, defence, infrastructure, energy and telecommunications, with discussions aimed at translating policy ideas and innovation into actionable outcomes.

Meanwhile, Ashok Kumar, General Secretary, PAN-IIT Alumni India, said the Hyderabad Summit is designed to move beyond deliberations and encourage actionable collaboration across sectors critical to national development. “The strength of the PAN-IIT ecosystem lies in its ability to bring together policymakers, industry leaders, technologists and entrepreneurs on a common platform. Our aim is to ensure that discussions at the Summit translate into real-world solutions that can support India’s long-term growth and innovation goals,” he said.
Organisers said the event seeks to leverage Hyderabad’s growing innovation ecosystem and the global IIT alumni network to help shape conversations and collaborations that will influence India’s technological roadmap.
