Nearly 20 years after completing their transformative journey at the Indian School of Business (ISB) Hyderabad, the PGP Class of 2005 has come together to create opportunities for future students. During their 20-year reunion in 2024, the batch decided to “pay it forward” by establishing a merit-based scholarship for deserving students of ISB’s flagship Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP).
That idea has now turned into reality. Starting this academic year, the newly launched PGP Class of 2005 Scholarship will provide annual tuition fee waivers to outstanding students. With ISB matching their contribution, the Rs 2.25 crore endowment ensures that the scholarship will continue in perpetuity, empowering generations of aspiring leaders.
On Monday, the initiative was formally announced at a ceremony attended by alumni, Dean Professor Madan Pillutla, and DNV Kumara Guru, Senior Director – Advancement, Alumni Engagement and External Relations.
“The one year at ISB changed our lives,” said Ausang Shukla, representing the Class of 2005. “Creating this scholarship is our way of giving back and helping others experience the same transformation.”
Meanwhile, Dean Madan Pillutla described it as “a reflection of the deep connection ISB alumni share with their alma mater and their commitment to supporting access to world-class management education.”
Through this initiative, the Class of 2005 has turned a reunion memory into a movement — one that will keep inspiring success stories for years to come.
