From lab-grown ideas to market-ready breakthroughs, innovation took the spotlight as over 150 startups and innovators came together at IKP Knowledge Park’s International Knowledge Millennium Conference (IKMC) 2025.
Held under the theme “Beyond the Blueprint: Recalibrating Innovation for a Disrupted World,” the 19th edition of IKMC opened with a powerful showcase of emerging technologies and entrepreneurial talent, reaffirming Hyderabad’s growing role as a global innovation hub.
On Monday, the event was inaugurated by Jayesh Ranjan, Special Chief Secretary for Special Projects (SPEED) and Investment Cell, CMO, Government of Telangana, and Prof. Vijay Chandru, Co-founder of Strand Life Sciences and CrisprBits.
“The TechX showcase reflects IKP’s commitment to empowering startups with funding, visibility, and collaboration opportunities — enabling them to scale innovations that can create global impact,” said Jayesh Ranjan, highlighting Telangana’s continued focus on biotechnology as a strategic growth sector.
Meanwhile, Prof. Chandru noted that biotech startups are “driving innovations that can make a significant difference to society,” calling TechX a testament to India’s growing strength in science-led entrepreneurship.
Adding to the momentum, IKP announced new strategic investments to fuel innovation — including up to Rs 1 crore for Progen Foods through the IKP Future Forward Fund, and Rs 5 lakh grants each for five young innovators under the IKP Future Stars Awards:

- Vasudeva Innovations
- Algaevity
- Evoxia Labs India Private Limited
- GVA Health Tech Private Limited
These startups were selected through a rigorous pitch session evaluated by innovation and investment leaders.
The two-day conference brings together thought leaders, investors, and policymakers to explore how nations can strengthen tech sovereignty, strategic autonomy, and global collaboration in an era of disruption.
As IKMC 2025 unfolds, it stands as a powerful reminder that innovation is not just about ideas — it’s about building ecosystems where those ideas can thrive, scale, and change the world.
