If you grew up catching a glimpse of ‘Chhota Bheem‘ on Pogo, get ready to relive the nostalgia- this time over food and fun. The creators of India’s most beloved homegrown character, ‘Green Gold Animation’, have joined hands with ‘EBG Group’ to launch India’s first-ever ‘Chhota Bheem Themed Café’ in Hyderabad.
Set to open in December, the café will bring together storytelling, food, and play in a vibrant Dolakpur-themed setting within the next 60 days. Two formats will debut, a quick-serve Express Café and a larger Multi-Experiential Café, targeting parents and children (ages 3–12), as well as teens and Gen Z (13–20).
Starting in Hyderabad’s most tech-savvy area, with its strong urban catchment and vibrant cultural scene, the café gives kids a healthy break and helps parents steer them away from junk food-making it the perfect launch point. From here, the venture plans to expand across India and eventually take the concept to global markets
The space is designed to balance fun with functionality. Parents will find a Work-from-Corner, a techie-friendly nook to bond with their children over healthy bites. Meanwhile, Gen Z guests can look forward to an Instagram-worthy vibe, perfect for parties and hangouts.

Food with a Healthy Twist
The menu puts the spotlight on millets and protein-based foods, serving up creative dishes such as:
- Power Ladoos – made with jaggery, millets, and dry fruits.
- Chutki Rainbow Bowl – millet base with seven colorful veggies, plus paneer or egg.
- A rotating lineup of wholesome snacks and drinks, with room for community-suggested healthy options.
Along with food, the café will feature play zones, storytelling corners, licensed merchandise, and interactive activities starring Chhota Bheem, Chutki, Mighty Raju, and more from the Green Gold universe. The idea is to create a safe, family-friendly space that blends fun with growth while celebrating special occasions.
Expansion Plans
The café will launch in two sizes- compact (25×40 ft) and full-scale (50×40 ft)- under a COCO (Company-Owned, Company-Operated) model. While franchise partners will invest, EBG will manage operations, branding, and training. The roadmap includes 300 cafés across India, with 50 outlets planned by 2026, creating over 250 jobs in food, merchandising, and supply chain.
Speaking on the launch on 29 September, Rajiv Chilaka, Founder & CEO of Green Gold Animation, said, “Over the last 17 years, Chhota Bheem has grown beyond being just an animated character to becoming a cultural phenomenon loved by millions. Partnering with EBG Group allows us to extend this universe into a unique real-world experience where families can bond, play, and create lasting memories together.”
He also added, “With an investment of over Rs 200 crore planned over the next three to five years, and leveraging our first-mover advantage along with a focus on meaningful, family-oriented, and healthy experiences, I believe that while India is on its path to becoming a global superpower, we will also be contributing to the Make in India initiative.”

Adding to this, Dr. Irfan Khan, Founder & CEO of EBG Group, shared, “We focus on creating experiences that connect with consumers in meaningful ways. By partnering with Green Gold Animation, we are bringing together the power of a beloved IP and our expertise in experiential spaces to build a one-of-a-kind café model. This is not just about food, but about creating joyful experiences that families will cherish.”
