New Push for Social Enterprises as TiE Hyd Launches TiE Social Impact

Despite India’s rapid economic growth and a booming startup ecosystem, millions of people from underserved communities still struggle to access proper education, jobs and basic opportunities. Innovation may be growing quickly in cities, but true inclusion is still catching up. The real question today is not just whether India is building startups, but whether those startups are creating equal opportunities for everyone. As the focus shifts from scaling businesses and chasing valuations to building real value and long-term impact, more attention is now being given to purpose-driven entrepreneurship that supports communities often left out of mainstream growth.

At a time when impact matters more than ever, TiE Hyderabad launched “TiE Social Impact” during its special February edition of the flagship Leadership Series held at its office in Sandhya Techno-1, Khajaguda, on Sunday. The new initiative aims to nurture social enterprises and accelerate impact-driven innovation by offering structured mentorship, strategic guidance and access to strong networks to help scale solutions addressing pressing societal challenges.

The February edition of the Leadership Series featured Meera Shenoy, Founder of Youth4Jobs and SwarajAbility, widely recognised for her pioneering work in building inclusive and sustainable solutions for marginalised communities.

Opening the session, Murali Kakarla, President of TiE Hyderabad, reaffirmed the organisation’s mission of creating entrepreneurship through mentoring, networking, education, funding and incubation. He emphasised TiE Hyderabad’s growing role in strengthening the region’s startup and innovation ecosystem through consistent initiatives and ecosystem-building events.

Drawing from decades of experience, Shenoy shared insights from her journey advancing accessibility, innovation and employment opportunities, particularly for persons with disabilities. Through Youth4Jobs and SwarajAbility, she has demonstrated how purpose-led enterprises can deliver scalable and sustainable impact. Addressing over 100 entrepreneurs, leaders and ecosystem enablers, she spoke about leadership with purpose, building resilient social enterprises and driving long-term change through inclusive growth.

The session resonated strongly with entrepreneurs, corporate leaders, investors and changemakers seeking to align business success with meaningful societal contribution. Annual sponsors for TiE Hyderabad include IKP and PalTech, while the Leadership Series is powered by MSN Realty.
