As Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning quickly change industries and jobs, learning new skills all the time has become very important. This is especially true for women engineers who want to stay updated and competitive in the tech field. New technologies need both strong knowledge and hands-on experience, so programs that help women build these skills are essential. Such initiatives also support equal opportunities and inclusive growth in the digital world.
Addressing this need, iHub-Data at International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad has launched a six-month intensive AI/ML training programme exclusively for women graduate engineers, aimed at preparing them for advanced industry and research roles.
The programme is designed for early-career women engineers from Hyderabad and nearby regions who have completed their engineering degrees in recent years. The course offers a balanced mix of strong theoretical foundations, hands-on tutorials and applied learning, with classes held every Monday at the IIIT Hyderabad campus.
Speaking about the initiative, Dr C K Raju, Head of Educational Programs at iHub-Data, said the programme builds on the success of earlier continuing education efforts and is structured to help women engineers confidently tackle complex AI/ML challenges. The all-women cohort, he noted, also aims to promote greater gender equity in technology-driven workplaces.
The programme begins in March 2026, and select participants will receive a three-month online internship with iHub-Data upon completion, offering valuable real-world project experience.
