18 MoUs Signed as T-CHIP Semicon Constitution Summit 2025 Concludes.

The T-CHIP Semicon Constitution Summit 2025 wrapped up on Sunday with the signing of 18 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) between leading universities and colleges across Telangana and the T-CHIP initiative. The pacts aim to align curricula with semiconductor training, establish design labs, and open pathways for faculty and students to participate in global research and innovation networks.

The two-day summit, held on  27–28 September at Trident Hyderabad, brought together Indian policymakers, industry leaders, academia, and global experts to frame the first-ever “Semiconductor Constitution” –  a roadmap for strengthening talent, design, manufacturing, and applications in India’s semiconductor ecosystem.

International leaders from NYCU, Taiwan Semiconductor Research Institute (TSRI), ARM, and GUS Technology pledged support, while IIT Hyderabad unveiled its first indigenously designed chip, marking a symbolic milestone in India’s design journey.

Meanwhile, IT Minister D Sridhar Babu appreciated the initiative, assuring Telangana’s full support, while T-CHIP Chairman Sundeep Kumar Makthala called the summit “a turning point” for India’s semiconductor future.

Member of Parliament Eatala Rajender, Deputy Speaker Banda Prakash, and former IT Minister Ponnala Lakshmaiah also took part in the event and highlighted Telangana’s role as a starting point for India’s semiconductor growth.

Over two days, the summit featured Chip Talks, awards, and networking sessions, with discussions addressing the global semiconductor talent gap of 1.5 million professionals by 2030-  including India’s need for 85,000 experts.
