Most people have walked into a Starbucks for their regular coffee fix. But how many have experienced a Starbucks Reserve? Unlike a regular Starbucks café, the Reserve format offers rare, small-lot coffees sourced from different parts of the world, brewed using artisanal methods such as pour-over and siphon brewing. It also features an exclusive menu, handcrafted beverages and a space designed to celebrate coffee as a craft rather than just a daily beverage.
With only five Starbucks Reserve stores across India until now, including two in Mumbai and one each in New Delhi, Gurugram and Kolkata, the premium coffeehouse format has remained exclusive to a handful of cities.
That exclusive coffee experience has now arrived in South India. Tata Starbucks has opened South India’s first Starbucks Reserve in Hyderabad’s Jubilee Hills, making it the sixth Reserve store in the country. Housed in a beautifully restored bungalow surrounded by lush greenery, the pet-friendly coffeehouse offers a refreshing contrast to Hyderabad’s fast-moving, tech-savvy life. Just a short drive from Hi-tech City, the space feels less like a busy café and more like a place where people can slow down over a cup of coffee.
Beyond its coffee menu, the store gives visitors an opportunity to explore the journey of coffee through guided tastings, brewing demonstrations and conversations with trained baristas.
The Starbucks Reserve store at Jubilee Hills will open to customers from August 1, 2026, and will operate daily from 7 am to 12 midnight.

During a curated coffee tasting session, Vibhor Mishra, Regional Director of Operations (South) and Coffee Ambassador for Starbucks China and Asia Pacific, said Starbucks Reserve is designed to offer customers more than just a cup of coffee.
Recalling Starbucks’ entry into India in 2013, he said the brand was often asked what made it different. Today, with more than 500 stores across over 85 cities, the conversation has shifted. “The question now is what makes Starbucks Reserve different,” he said.
According to Mishra, the answer lies in the experience itself. Through guided coffee tastings, brewing demonstrations, latte art sessions and interactive activities, visitors can explore the journey behind every cup. He described Starbucks Reserve as a destination centred on rare micro-lot coffees, where customers can discover different brewing techniques, flavour profiles and the craft of coffee.
Hyderabad’s growing appetite for new coffee experiences made it a natural choice for Tata Starbucks to bring its first Starbucks Reserve store to South India, according to Sushant Dash, CEO, Tata Starbucks.
“Jubilee Hills has been an integral part of our journey in Hyderabad, and returning to this neighbourhood with our first Starbucks Reserve store in South India is especially meaningful. As one of our strongest markets with over 30 stores, Hyderabad continues to embrace new coffee experiences, making it a natural home for Starbucks Reserve,” he said.
